The Practical Caregiver Program
The Council for Health
Education and Development has developed a DVD called
“The Practical Caregiver” to assist
caregivers in caring for family members. This program
demonstrates general basic “hands on” techniques in body
mechanics, positioning, transfers, ambulation,
self-help, feeding and communication. The practical
demonstrations are commonly used when providing home
care. This program is also available in VHS video
format.
